Breaking the Boundaries
of Blindness!
Help us empower the blind
children with education.
India is the home of 3,20,000 blind children, and the majority of them don’t attend schools.
ARUNODAYA (SUNRISE) FOR CHILDREN WITH BLINDNESS.
Ek Kadam Aur Foundation’s Arunodaya program identifies blind children (ages 4–15 years) from remote parts of India and prepares them to be school-ready. It also helps blind children become independent and thrive within their social structure.
OUR MODEL.
Phase
1
During the first 6 months, the mentor visits the child’s home for mobility and literacy training.
During the latter 6 months, we ensure the child's assimilation into a nearby school by providing arms-length support and training to the teachers and sighted students.visits the child’s home for mobility and literacy training.
Phase
2
We provide arms-length support through virtual sessions to help the blind child with education, health, mental well-being, and career counseling until they complete their higher education.
Phase
3
The program’s cost efficiency and scalability make it effective in creating a significant impact!
